Discover Your Path to Canadian Permanent Residence with the Canadian Experience Class (CEC)
Since its launch in 2008, the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) has become popular for skilled workers and international graduates to achieve permanent residency in Canada. This program is part of the Express Entry system and offers a unique opportunity for those who have already experienced life in Canada to transition smoothly to permanent status.
Why the CEC Stands Out:
-
Seamless Integration: If you’ve lived and worked in Canada, you’re already ahead. The CEC leverages your Canadian experience to boost your chances of successful integration into the job market.
-
Boost Your CRS Score: Canadian work experience earns you valuable Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points, increasing your chances of receiving an invitation to apply for permanent residence.
-
Quick Processing: Successful CEC applicants often receive their permanent residency status within six months.
-
No Need for Settlement Funds: Unlike other programs, the CEC doesn’t require you to prove you have settlement funds.
Are You Eligible for the CEC?
To qualify for the CEC, you need to meet these key criteria:
-
Work Experience: Accumulate at least one year of skilled, professional, or technical work experience in Canada within the past 36 months.
-
Language Skills: Achieve a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of 5 for NOC TEER categories 2 or 3 jobs, or CLB 7 for NOC TEER categories 0 or 1 jobs.
-
Location: Plan to live and work outside Quebec. If you have work experience in Quebec and wish to live there, submit your application using the Quebec Experience Class.
-
Hours of Work: One year of work experience equals 1,560 hours, which can be accumulated through a combination of full-time and part-time work.
